“Lead researcher and facilitator of Emotions City,”
Oyinkansola Alabi, fondly known as The Emotions Doctor, is a woman who has turned pain, science, and passion into power. A US Army Behavioral Health Specialist, productivity strategist, and life validation expert, she has dedicated her life to helping individuals, high achievers, and organizations unlock their highest potential through the transformative power of emotional intelligence.
At the heart of her mission stands Emotions City—Africa’s foremost Centre for Emotional Intelligence—where she leads as researcher, facilitator, consultant, and confidante to CEOs and changemakers. She carries with her the rare honor of being the first woman in Africa to found an Emotional Intelligence Academy, courageously building a legacy where others once saw no path.
Her influence stretches beyond classrooms and boardrooms. As Executive Producer of the multiple award-winning documentary “The Story of the Girl Who Stood Up for Emotional Intelligence in Nigeria,” and convener of Africa’s first Emotional Intelligence Week, Oyinkan has ignited a movement that is reshaping how Africa thinks, feels, and leads.
Her footsteps can be traced across 30 Nigerian states and 40 nations worldwide, her voice training and certifying over 401 Emotional Intelligence specialists in 18 countries. She stands as the first African to attend the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, a Six Seconds Network practitioner and assessor, a Goldman Sachs Scholar, A US Army achievement medal recipient and a woman twice celebrated as one of the 100 most influential and impactful women in Nigeria.
Her brilliance is matched only by her courage: winner of the World Film Carnival Singapore (2022), founder of the EQ House of Africa—a hub uniting over 2,000 Africans in the diaspora—and a United States–recognized alien of extraordinary ability. With a Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) in Behavioral Psychology, Oyinkan is also an author, a musical artist, and a spiritual leader, weaving wisdom and empathy into every facet of her work.
Her affiliations span WIMBIZ, Forbes Business Council, and the American Psychological Association—yet her truest identity remains constant: a pioneer, a teacher, and a healer of hearts.
Oyinkansola Alabi is not just shaping conversations about emotional intelligence—she is rewriting Africa’s emotional and leadership narrative for generations to come.
